1 John 4:1-21 Bible in a Year:
AUDIO VERSIONLIVE THROUGH HIMLeft to our ability, we cannot do what we have been asked to do by God. It is when we are in Jesus depending upon the Holy Spirit to empower us so that the life of Jesus within us can enable us to do all things by faith in Him.
In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 1 John 4:9
Then we can love and forgive in the most challenging circumstances, not because of our ability, but because of Jesus in us.
To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27
We demonstrate that we are God’s children when we love in the manner that He loves, when we forgive in the manner that He forgives when we do not respond in the same way we may have been treated.
This is Jesus’ nature. He made the sacrifice, not because of our love for Him or our response to Him that came after the sacrifice; instead, He made the sacrifice first because of who God is and how He loves.
This is love, not that we loved God but that He loved us.
As we start our week with Jesus, receive His love, let it wash over you, surround you, and grow within you. May God manifest His love in us in the difficulties that we may face.
We belong to Jesus; He loves us so much that His light is brighter no matter how dark it gets.
We thank Him for giving us the grace to keep going and shine our light for His glory.
Keep going. We can do it, not in our ability but live and love through Jesus.
This is God’s word spoken in love. Remember, The Lord our God is good, and His mercies endure forever. May the blessings of Jesus overtake you and come upon you, and His love surrounds you for His glory.
Have a blessed week in Jesus. Be a blessing and share this with someone who needs to hear this today.Do you need Prayer? We are here to pray with you.
