The experience of believing for and receiving God's promises in small things gives us the confidence in His word to believe the promises for bigger things. We build our faith through exercise in a way similar to how we build our physical muscles. If you are having trouble receiving a big miracle, perhaps you can find something a bit smaller to believe God for first. The effectiveness of your faith in the smaller thing will build confidence and strengthen your faith to more easily receive the bigger thing.
