Faith takes time and is usually built up in stages. The experience of believing for and receiving God's promises in small things gives us the confidence in His word to believe the promises for bigger things. We build our faith through exercise in a way similar to how we build our physical muscles. If you are having trouble receiving a big miracle, perhaps you can find something a bit smaller to believe God for first. The effectiveness of your faith in the smaller thing will build confidence and strengthen your faith to more easily receive the bigger thing. Remember, it is through faith and patience that we receive the promises of God.

Therefore, since we are encompassed with such a great cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.— Hebrews 12:1 (MEV)
