AUDIO VERSIONPRESENCE OF GODOne of the most life-giving promises God makes to us as a child of God is His promise always to be near, and today David shows us an example of the nearness of God.

If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me. Psalm 139:9-10

If we were to explore the ends of the earth, God would still be there. If we were to dive into the depths of the ocean, God would still be there. If we descend into the furthest place of our inner being, we will still find God.

There is no place we can go where God is not present, and God is there like the early morning fog, saturating everything with its haze.

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6

The nearness of God is meant to be our source of courage and strength, and we are to find refuge in the knowledge and experience of His presence.

The presence of God means everything to us. It means we are no longer alone, and God will guide us through the various situations we may encounter.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4

When we wake up, God is there to love and prepare us, and when we go about our day, God is there for us, desiring to empower us. When we lay down at night, God is there to give us rest and peace. The presence of God is the foundation on which so many of His other promises are fulfilled.

God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1

Our job is to make space in our hearts and trust God, and He will take care of the rest.

Spend time today in prayer, renewing our minds to the promise of the presence of God and letting His nearness become our source of courage, strength, and rest.

Will you spend time in prayer today to experience the presence of God?Do you need Prayer? We are here to pray with you.

Heavenly Father, I open my heart to make space for You in my heart. I trust You, Father God, as You know all things, and You will lead me by Your Holy Spirit within my heart. I may encounter problems along the way, but there is no better place to have my life than in You. You will take care of my every need as I follow You and Your lead. What peace in the midst of any storm. In Jesus name, Amen.
