Life has a way of sending storms into each of our lives. Jesus promised that we will have problems in this world. So escaping the storm itself is unlikely. What we can escape is the corruption the storm brings, with its loss of peace and hope. Jesus overcame the world. Therefore we take courage when all around us is coming undone. Through Jesus we can receive the strength and peace God has already given us, even when the storms of life rage against us. Jesus is the only source of strength and peace that is trustworthy and true. Are you in the midst of a storm today? If so, look to Jesus. He has already achieved the victory on your behalf. He declared, "It is finished." Then Jesus sat down at the Father's right hand because His work for you was done. He makes available everything you need to thrive in the face of every storm life throws at you. Receive that strength and peace today. You are made to thrive, not collapse. No matter how great the storm, or how many people around you fall, your destiny is to overcome!
