Gene’s Daily Scriptural Postings.

Sometimes when we see the stories in the Bible about the amazing encounters people had with God we can be tempted to believe nothing like that could ever happen to us. But one of the many beauties of the Bible is that it shares the flaws of the lives it records, not just the victories. For example, we know Abraham as one of the great patriarchs. In scripture we see that he lied on many occasions and even put his own wife in a very compromising situation out of fear for his own life. Twice. Yet God blessed Abraham in spite of his flaws. The Bible tells us it was because Abraham chose to believe God that he was blessed, even when God's promises seemed impossible. You are blessed right along with Abraham, and in the same way too. Just believe God and receive His promises by faith, even if it seems impossible to you right now. Know that God's word is true, that He will finish what He started in you and bring those promises to pass.
So then those who are of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. — Galatians 3:9 (MEV)
