Jesus told us that God's word is more life-giving than even the bread we eat for food. Unfortunately for some, they mostly see rules of what they should and should not do when they read the Bible. We will never find life in the scriptures with that perspective. Instead of trying to learn the proper way to behave, a much better approach is to read the scriptures to find out you really are. As you gain more revelation of what the Bible has to say about your true identity in Christ, you will be supernaturally empowered and your behavior will begin to change on its own. God hides amazing treasures in His word just for you. They are waiting for you to discover. Each time a new truth explodes in your soul as you begin to see it with clarity, it will fill your heart with joy. As we mature with growing revelation of God's truth we naturally find the desire to spend more time in His word welling up inside us. The revelation of God's word always produces joy and rejoicing in your heart.
