As we prepare our hearts for Easter tomorrow, let us not rush past the significance of this day and reflect on the depth of the love God demonstrated through the sacrifice of Jesus.
who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification. Romans 4:25
Jesus bore the weight of our sins as He was delivered up to the cross. Our offenses, mistakes, and shortcomings made His sacrifice necessary. Intertwined with His sacrifice on Good Friday is the hope found in the promise of His resurrection.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Jesus willingly endured the agony of the cross, not because He had to, but because He loved us enough to pay the price for our sins.
We see the divine exchange that took place on that fateful day. Jesus took upon Himself the punishment we deserved so that we might be justified, declared righteous, through His resurrection.
Jesus did not die for the sins of the world; He died for your sins. He bore the weight of your past so that you could be made right with God.
As you spend Easter with your friends and family, do not forget the sacrifice of Good Friday and what Jesus accomplished on the cross, and rejoice in the victory of His resurrection.
Live each day in the reality of knowing that you are loved, forgiven, and redeemed because of what Jesus has done for you.
Heavenly Father, I am so thankful I have experienced Your love, Father God. Your love goes beyond measure, and it is available for all who receive it. Today, I ask You to make me a reflection of Your Love to others. In showing love, I will be showing and sharing You with a world that desperately needs You. Thank You, Father, for using even me today in a hurting world. I thank and praise You, In the name of Jesus. Amen.
