WALK IN THE SPIRIT

When Paul urges us to walk in the Spirit, he invites us into a daily lifestyle that the Holy Spirit guides. It is not just a one time decision but a continual, intentional choice.

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16

When you walk alongside someone, you keep pace with them, listen to them, and follow their lead. Walking in the Spirit means doing the same with the Holy Spirit. It is about being attentive and responsive to His presence in our lives.

This is not just about physical desires; it is about any aspect of our lives dominated by our sinful nature: selfishness, pride, envy, etc.

Walking in the Spirit makes us less likely to give in to these destructive tendencies.

Imagine starting your day by consciously inviting the Holy Spirit to lead you. As you face challenges or temptations, pause and seek His guidance. Ask the Holy Spirit to shape your words and actions when you interact with others.

Walking in the Spirit is about aligning your thoughts and behaviors with the Word of God, which often means going against your natural inclinations. It is not always easy, but the more you practice it, the more natural it becomes.

When walking in the Spirit, God empowers you to overcome sinful desires. It is not about sheer willpower but about surrendering to His transformative work within you.

Today, reflect on how you are walking. Are you relying on your strength and desires, or are you intentionally choosing to walk in step with the Holy Spirit?

Walking in the Spirit is one step at a time, one moment at a time, and as you do it, you will experience more of the freedom and victory that God offers you.

Do you need Prayer? We are here to pray with you.

Heavenly Father, I am thankful for the freedom offered by giving Your Son on the cross, redeeming us from all sin. Now Your Holy Spirit abides within and leads me in paths of righteousness. I will have a listening ear and be led in obedience according to Your Word. I know in this life, You have provided all I will ever need as I trust You and walk in that obedience. Thank You, Father, as I am never alone. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Walking In The Spirit is One Step At A Time, One Moment At A Time, And As You Do It, You Will Experience More Of The Freedom And Victory That God Offers You.
