Gene’s Daily Scriptural Postings

For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

LOVE OF CHRIST

Paul speaks directly to the heart of our faith journey by reminding us of the central force that drives everything we do: the love of Christ.

For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. 2 Corinthians 5:14-15

The love of Christ is not only a warm feeling or a positive concept, it is a powerful force that moves, compels, and motivates us to live differently.

The love of Christ changes everything about how we see ourselves and interact with the world around us.

Paul emphasizes that the death of Jesus was not some historical event that happened a long time ago.

It was a sacrificial act that changed the course of human history and our individual lives. When Jesus died, He died for all of us, every single person, regardless of who we are or what we have done.

The death of Jesus was not the end of the story. No, it was just the beginning. Jesus rose again, conquering sin and death once and for all. And because of that, our lives are forever changed.

It means we no longer live for ourselves and are not driven by selfish desires or personal ambitions. Instead, we live for Jesus, the one who loved us enough to give His life for us.

Living for Christ can be challenging. It means loving others the way He loves us unconditionally. It means living purposefully and passionately, knowing we are loved beyond measure.

As you go about your day, remember this: You are loved by Jesus, who gave everything for you. Let that love drive you and shape every aspect of your life.

Heavenly Father, I am so very thankful for Jesus and the love of Jesus that drives me and shapes every aspect of my life. I willingly give my life to obey what Your Word says. I will meditate on Your Word and allow Your Word to live through me. No greater joy and peace for each one of us as we serve our Risen Saviour. Thank You, Father God. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Let the Love of Jesus Drive You and Shape Every Aspect of Your Life.
