OBEDIENCE TO GOD

Peter and John faced a dilemma when the authorities at the time told them not to speak or teach in the name of Jesus.

But Peter and John answered and said to them, Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. Acts 4:19-20

Instead of folding to the pressure of the authorities, they boldly followed their faith and calling.

Their response speaks volumes about their unwavering dedication to the commandments of God.

They recognized that their allegiance belonged first and foremost to God, even in the face of opposition and persecution.

Their words remind us of the importance of staying true to our faith, regardless of the circumstances we may encounter.

In a world where conformity often seems easier than standing up for our beliefs, the example of Peter and John challenges us to prioritize our obedience to God above all else.

As Believers, we may encounter situations where our faith conflicts with social norms or expectations. In those moments, the Bible serves as a guiding light, reminding us to remain steadfast in our convictions and never compromise the truth of the Gospel.

The boldness of Peter and John proclaiming the Gospel inspires us to share our testimonies with others, regardless of the opposition we may face.

This week, remember the example set by Peter and John. Do not be unashamed to share the Gospel with the people God has placed on your path.

Find the courage and strength today to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, trusting in the faithfulness of God every step of the way.
