It is unwise to allow our emotions and feelings determine what we believe. Instead we must look to the word of God to see truth, believe it, and then let our emotions adjust to that truth.
The things of God are spiritual and therefore must be discerned by our spirits, and not by the emotions and feelings of our soulish man. Yet it’s more than that even. We also are likely to get into trouble when we insist on understanding everything before we step into the things of God.
Because truth is spiritually discerned, there will be times when it doesn’t seem to make sense in the moment. Even so, there is a clear path forward.
Value the truth of God's word above your emotions, logic, or mental reasoning. Then over time your mind, will, and emotions will all learn to follow the truth. | ||
