SHOWING LOVE TO OTHERS

Sometimes, love is not as easy as it sounds. It is easy to say we love God, but then, there is that part where we are supposed to love our brothers and sisters, too.

And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also. 1 John 4:21

If you love God, you have to love them too. Because when you love each other, you are not checking off some divine to do list. You are reflecting the love of God.

Think about it: The love of God is not just for us to accept and keep to ourselves. It is supposed to flow through us to touch the lives of those around us.

Loving people is not always easy. Sometimes, it is messy. People can be difficult. They might not always treat us the way we want to be treated. They might not even seem lovable at times.

God did not put any conditions on this love thing. He did not say, Love your brother only if he is nice to you, or Love your sister only if she agrees with everything you say. No. He just said, Love.

We need to love even when it is difficult, even when it is not reciprocated, and even when it requires forgiveness and grace.

Something incredible happens when we choose to love unconditionally, just like God loves us. We start to see people differently.

We see them not just as coworkers, distant relatives, or random strangers on the street. We start to see them as God sees them: people worthy of love.

Make an effort today to love not just with words but with actions not only when it is easy but especially when it is hard. When we do, we are loving like God intended us to love.

Do you need Prayer? We are here to pray with you.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for being such a loving Heavenly Father. It is because of that Love, I am able to show love. As I read Your Word and act on it, I will learn what real love is. I want my life to reflect You, no matter what the circumstances. The Love from You is like no other. Thank You, Father, as You work in my life to show that love to others. I thank and praise You for working in and through my life. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Make An Effort Today To Love Not Just With Words But With Actions.
