The “Colonel’s” VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day!

Good “Saturday!” Morning “Band of Brothers & Sisters,” and all great connections. Welcome from the “Colonel’s Foxhole” in The Woodlands, TX — 16 April 2022!

Today’s Message is: “Negotiation Day!” Why Not?

“Negotiating skills are and will be an important part of leadership. Be the teacher and mentor when it comes to negotiating techniques. Leaders must make difficult decisions on a regular and sometimes uncomfortable basis. When it comes to taking or reallocating resources, spending, or saving money, conducting, or not conducting training, and making key personnel moves it’s important to negotiate with certain parties within the organization for the ‘give and take’ to achieve a win-win outcome that both parties can live with. Remember to never make the first offer, knowledge is power in the negotiation, discover a solution that is good for both parties, and always know when to stop negotiating when the deal is closed!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Good morning Col Burroughs and all of my brothers and sisters here on VFV. We undertake negotiations most everyday of our lives. I won’t even begin to list them because of the length the list would be. However, there is one negotiation that some do with God, that may be of great risk. When you attempt to negotiating with God, we often times, if not all the time, forget that God is our Creator and His Word is final. If we should choose to do so, we should definitely have in mind that God is omniscient and knows what is in our hearts. Should you choose to negotiation with him, I say be honest and follow through.
