James reminds us that true religion is not just about going to church. It is about love in our actions.
There are people all around us that need our love. The lonely neighbor down the street, the co worker going through a tough time from the loss of a loved one, or the family who feels abandoned after the sudden loss of a parent. It is about reaching out and being a source of comfort and support.
The heart of God is moved when we extend kindness to those who are hurting. We reflect the love that God has poured into us.
It is not about doing good deeds for the sake of being good; it is about being the hands and feet of Jesus in a hurting world.
It is a call to live a life that honors God in all aspects of our lives. We are not to be swayed by the negative influences around us. Instead, we need to be a positive force for good.
James reminds us to live authentically, to let our faith be seen in our actions. It is not about perfection; it is about a genuine, caring heart.

Heavenly Father, Thank You for eyes to see and a heart that desires Your will and purpose for me on this earth. It is about being the hands and feet of Jesus in a hurting world, and I want to be that for others. I ask for Your lead today so I can be that light to someone hurting. As You live within me and Your Holy Spirit leads me, I will be ready to share that light that helps someone. Thank You, Father, for using me. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
