Gene’s Daily Scriptural Postings

26 February 2024

It is interesting how some folks only object to others prospering, especially if they happen to be believers or work in Christian ministry. Yet the Bible repeatedly says that meditating on God's word will make us prosper.

And it's not just an internal, spiritual prospering either. Paul told Timothy that meditating on godly things would cause his progress to be visible to everyone. It's an outward thing that others can see.

Meditating on the things of God will cause you to prosper over time. By spending time in God's word, reflecting on scripture and its implications for your own heart, you will cause your soul to prosper. And the more your soul prospers, the more your life will prosper. This certainly includes prospering in spiritual things. The more you prosper in spiritual things, the more it will overflow into natural things including your health, your relationships, and your own finances.

We each face a choice. Will we focus on the Kingdom of God and walk in the spirit, or will focus on worldly things and walk in the flesh? Choose wisely.

Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. — 1 Timothy 4:15 (NKJV)
