Your prayers as a believer are powerful. They have the potential to change the very fabric of reality itself. According to Jesus, you will get what you say when you pray believing prayers.

The challenge is that there often is some time which passes between the prayer and when you see it. You receive what you pray the moment you pray it. Yet, according to Jesus, there will still be some period of time before you have what you received in the spirit. In English there is a comma before the phrase, “and you shall have them.”

What you do for the duration of that comma is critical. It is imperative to keep believing.

It can be a bit easier when your belief is anchored to the sure promises of God's Word, because we already know every promise of God is yes and amen in Christ. Remember, it is through faith and patience that you will inherit the promises of God.

Stand on that promise. Believe it until you receive it.
