Doubt is the roadblock to our faith that makes us double minded and prevents us from receiving the promises of God we find in the Bible. Really doubt is meditating on unbelief. And unbelief comes in at least two forms.
The obvious form of unbelief is not believing something that is true. For example, we might see in the Bible where it says that we are the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21) but not really believe it. Maybe we don’t feel righteous because we’ve messed up so badly, or so often and are trapped in unbelief because we just can’t bring our selves to believe that truth.
Another form of unbelief is believing outright lies. For example, some might believe there are many paths to God when the truth is Jesus is the only way (John 14:6). We will never see the supernatural power of God working in our lives in an area where we believe lies.
The only real way to overcome doubt, grow your faith, and become a genuine world changing overcomer is to renew your mind with the truth of God's Word. Then you will be able to ignore your doubts and experience supernatural faith! | ||
