"Today, in 1687, the great Isaac Newton published his laws of motion and universal gravitation. His work, the 'Principia', changed everything the world knew at the time about science, forever altering history and mankind irrevocably. In his universal gravitation theory, Newton describes the attraction between any two objects in the universe, namely, their gravity caused by their masses and distance.
As veterans, we tend to gravitate to other veterans that are similar in a universal concept as well. We stick to our own, pull others like us to us, and orbit in a fashion around locations that remind us of our time in service. This tends to make us a closed society, often separated by location, persons, and recreational activities. This is almost a necessary constant in our universe, as fellow veterans are the only ones that understand what we have gone through and can offer unique support to those struggling with situations that often only veterans encounter." — Air Force Veteran Steven Bates
