EYES ON JESUS

Paul’s words encourage us that faith is not about standing still, it is about moving forward, no matter what is behind us. Life can throw distractions, disappointments, and unexpected turns our way, but we do not have to face them alone.

I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14

Paul invites us to focus on the goal, the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. This goal is not about success or recognition; it is about growing closer to Jesus and finishing our journey of faith together.

Paul’s determination came from knowing that everything this world offers is temporary compared to the eternal prize found in Christ. When Paul talks about pressing, he means putting in effort, sticking with it, and not giving up. It is not a casual stroll, it is a heartfelt pursuit. We do not drift toward spiritual growth; we move toward it on purpose. That means letting go of what is behind us: the mistakes that weigh us down, the guilt that tells us we are not enough, and even the past victories that make us want to coast.

Pressing toward the goal takes focus. When a runner heads for the finish line, they do not look back, they keep their eyes straight ahead. In the same way, we can fix our focus on Jesus, not the chaos or noise around us. Every small step of faith, each act of obedience, and every moment we trust Him brings us closer to Jesus.

God’s call is personal and full of love. He invites us to rise above discouragement, to live with purpose, and to keep going even when things get tough. The prize is not just waiting for us in eternity, it is the joy of knowing Jesus a little more each day.

Keep pressing forward. Remember, your effort in Jesus is never wasted. The finish line is worth it, and Jesus is cheering you on every step of the way!

Do you need Prayer? We are here to pray with you.

Heavenly Father, help me keep my eyes on You and not my past. Give me strength to press forward with faith, endurance, and joy. Let every step draw me closer to You. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Keep Pressing Forward. Keep Your Heart Anchored In The Promise That Your Effort In Jesus Is Never Wasted.
