Many believers are hostile to the truth that financial prosperity is included in what Jesus accomplished for us at the cross because manipulative preachers twist it into a message of greed and selfishness. In truth, the whole point of everything we do as believers is to either bless others directly, or equip us to be a blessing to others.

Our health and long life are just like our prosperity in this regard. God supplies both long life and prosperity so we can bless others by having a significant influence for the Kingdom of God.

You will do well to press into God’s promises and receive as much as you can from Him. Think about it. You cannot give away what you don’t yet posses yourself. The more you receive from God, the more you have to give away as a blessing for others.

And yes, God could probably just bless those around you directly without your participation. But He loves working with you and me, as His sons and daughters, in the family “business” of blessing people.

God blesses you for a purpose. Will you bless someone today?
