The Bible exhorts us to be thankful in everything. Unfortunately some folks misunderstand that to mean we are to be thankful for everything which happens in our lives. But it's not the same thing.

Bad things happen to all of us. Yet even in those bad situations, there are always going to be little sparks of light that we can be thankful for.

At first it may be very hard to see anything good in your situation. But as you build a habit of looking for the good, even in challenging times, you will find it easier and easier.

Plus, as we as we build a habit of thankful for the good things even when life gets difficult, we will experience more of God’s peace. In fact, in Christ it’s possible to be so at peace when the storms of life rage all around us, that it will be hard for others to understand it.

The pathway to peace starts by stepping out in thankfulness.
