Sometimes we can get pulled into arguments about different things. Christians are especially prone to argue about biblical stuff. A passion for the truth is a good thing. But when that passion gets twisted into a habit of arguing with most anyone who expresses a different point of view, that's not so good. The Bible clearly instructs us not to get into foolish arguments that we know will stir up strife. Focus on the main thing. Share the truth. Allow others to disagree. Even let them be wrong without bending to the desire to straighten them out. It is far better to become known for what you stand for rather than what you stand against. Learn how to walk away from foolish arguments. In that way you will exercise wisdom. |
