Something pretty amazing happens when we receive Jesus, believe in Him, and are born again. At that moment we are grafted into God's very own family. And we're not distant cousins either. We become true sons and daughters of God Himself, just like Jesus is.

Think about what that means for you. God, the creator of the universe and everything in it (including you) is now your father. He now gives you a tremendous inheritance in Christ, just waiting for you to receive.

And that makes Jesus your brother too! You are a member of God's royal family, directly related to the Father of all. The King of kings is your brother! As you go through your day, think about the privileges and responsibilities that come with that truth of your own royal status.

But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name. — John 1:12 (WEB)
