Both the examples we follow and the example we set for others have a massive impact on our world. We all learn from others. Discipleship and the mentoring process are supposed to be a core part of our Christian walk.

This means we do well to have godly examples in front of us who challenge us to grow more Christlike in our spiritual journey. Paul told the church at Corinth to imitate himself even as he imitated Christ.

Can you say the same things to those around you? “Follow my example as I follow Christ’s.” Every mature believer should be able to say that with a good conscience knowing that their own personal example is one that will help others grow more like Jesus.

And if you cannot say that yet, perhaps you should consider finding better examples to model your own life after.
