There are two ditches which people can fall into when it comes to walking life's road with God. In one ditch are people who do their own thing and just politely wave at God from time to time, never asking for or accepting any guidance from Him. Those in the opposite ditch are just as misguided. They are sitting back waiting for God to do everything to make their lives happen.

In reality God desires to partner with us to accomplish His purposes in this world. It's God and us working together, not either one alone. We are the body of Christ, which means we are the physical agents through which God works.

We are God's children, not His robots. He enjoys working with us and seeing how we reflect Him with our creativity and ideas. When you make plans, give God something to work with, and step out in faith, then He will guide your steps.

The key is looking to Him throughout the process and being responsive to adjust course whenever God suggests a change.
