NEW IDENTITY IN JESUS

Paul is not just talking about changing habits or adjusting priorities, he is describing a whole new identity. He wants us to know that our old life, everything we have struggled with, our mistakes, pride, and self-reliance, was put to rest with Jesus on the cross. That old self no longer defines us.

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20

This Bible verse beautifully captures the heart of the Christian life. We get to live a brand-new life where Jesus lives within us. That does not mean we lose what makes us unique, instead, it means His love and presence become the guiding force in our lives, shaping us from the inside out.

When Paul says, It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me,he is sharing a truth we can all treasure: we are never alone on this journey. Jesus is with us every step of the way, giving us purpose, strength, and a love that goes far beyond what we could ever muster on our own.

Paul reminds us that the life we now live is by faith in the Son of God. Faith becomes the lens that colors everything, our struggles, our victories, our relationships, and the choices we make day by day. It is all about trusting Jesus, who not only died for us but also lives with us and in us.

Why do we trust Jesus? Because He loved me and gave Himself for me. Isn't that amazing? Jesus’ love is not distant or impersonal, it is deeply personal. He gave Himself not just for everyone in the world, but especially for you.

Living by faith in Christ means choosing each day to let Him shape our thoughts, words, and actions. It is a journey where His love motivates us, and He becomes our closest guide and friend.

Remember, the life of a Believer is not about trying harder, it is about enjoying the amazing reality that Christ lives in you.
