STEADFAST REFUGE |
We often look for stability in temporary things, jobs, relationships, finances, or plans, but Hannah reminds us that only God is the Rock that never moves. He is unchanging when circumstances shift. He is faithful when people fail, and He is near when our hearts ache for answers. No one is holy like the Lord, For there is none besides You, Nor is there any rock like our God. 1 Samuel 2:2 Hannah’s words come from a heart overflowing with gratitude. After years of pain and waiting, she finally holds the answer to her prayers, her son, Samuel , but instead of focusing on the blessing, she turns to the One who gave it. Her song is not only about answered prayer; it is a declaration of who God is. Hannah calls God holy, unique, and steadfast. In a world filled with idols and uncertainty, she proclaims that there is none besides Him. That truth has not changed. God is still set apart, perfect in power, wisdom, and love. He is not just another option when life feels shaky; He is the solid foundation beneath our feet when everything else crumbles. This invites us to pause and recognize God’s holiness not only in miracles but also in quiet moments of surrender. When we stop trying to hold everything together ourselves, we find peace in His strength. Hannah’s praise flowed from trust, trust that God’s character was her security, not just His blessings. Today, take a moment to thank God for being your Rock. Whether you are celebrating answered prayers or still waiting, His holiness and faithfulness remain the same. Like Hannah, let your heart rise in worship, not because everything is perfect, but because He is. |
