LEGACY OF FAITH

This shows us a moment in Israel’s history when the baton of faith was not successfully passed. The next generation did not know the Lord or His works.

When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the Lord nor the work which He had done for Israel. Judges 2:10

The generation who witnessed God’s miracles, who saw the Red Sea part, walked through the desert under His daily provision, and conquered enemies by His strength, eventually passed away.

This did not happen because God stopped revealing Himself. It happened because something broke in the stories being passed down to the next generation. The stories were not told. The testimonies were not shared. The memories of God’s goodness were not passed around dinner tables or woven into daily life. Faith, left unspoken, faded into the background.

The same danger exists today. Faith is not automatically inherited, it must be intentionally transferred. We cannot assume that our families, friends, or communities will follow God simply because we do. The next generation learns who God is by what we show them, not only by what we say. They learn that God provides when they see us trust Him with our needs. They learn that God forgives when they see us repent. They learn that God loves them when they experience love through us.

This Bible verse nudges us to consider how we are making God known in the spaces we influence. Sharing the works of the Lord is more than quoting the Bible, it is allowing others to see how the Bible shapes our lives. It is slowing down long enough to tell stories of how God has come through. It is keeping gratitude visible so that others can connect the dots between our faith and God’s faithfulness.

This reminds us that every generation needs a fresh encounter with God. Our role is to keep His name known, to speak of His goodness, to demonstrate His love, and to plant seeds of faith that will grow beyond our lifetime.

Let your life be a living testimony that lets others know the Lord because they know you.Do you need Prayer? We are here to pray with you.

Heavenly Father, help me share Your goodness with those around me. Let my life reflect Your love, and let the next generation know You through the words I speak and the way I live. Strengthen my faith, guide my steps, and use me for Your glory. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Let Your Life Be A Living Testimony That Lets Others Know The Lord Because They Know You.
