TONIGHT's Topic: "Life's a Blank Page, Write the Story you Want!"

"I saw that my life was a vast glowing empty page and I could do anything I wanted." - Jack Kerouac

This quote from Jack Kerouac’s 1958 novel “The Dharma Bums” summarizes the energy of the Beat Generation — a group of artists, authors, and poets who saw with wide eyes the boundless opportunities that were opening up during the cultural revolution of the 1950s and ‘60s. To Kerouac, a blank page represented the exciting infinitude of the new age, and a life lived outside the boundaries of conventional society. To us, a blank page represents a fresh start, a new beginning, a clean slate to create our own story. No matter if we excel or not at writing, we are the author, and we determine the way the story is written, so let's make it a story worth reading to generations to come!! Join us Wednesday night as we discuss writing our own stories and being the author of our lives. Let's write some stories!!
