Let’s “Remember Everyone Deployed!” today and every day until they return home safely once again!

Today’s Message is: “Salute Day!” Why Not?
“There are many types of salutes that can be rendered. In the military we salute as a display of respect, courtesy, and honor. It is a custom by which military service members acknowledge the due respect for superior rank. We also salute our fallen for their ultimate sacrifice given to their county and we salute our nation’s flag in respect for our freedom. Let us salute all great leaders, first responders, veterans who’ve served, those military members serving today, people for their outstanding accomplishments, and what we’ve all achieved in our lifetimes! I salute you!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Good morning Col Burroughs and all of my brothers and sisters here on VFV. We all as veterans or active duty truly understand the hand salute, but we also need to remember to salute God and all that have served others in one capacity or another. I thought that a would encounter a difficult time trying to find something that would correlate to the Bible. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised. I have provided an article below for your consideration. Have a blessed day today and always.

Salute One Another – Romans 16:16 Jan 14, 2015 | Romans
Years ago, I discovered an interesting Greek word, which pops up here in verse 16. It is “allelon” (al-lay’-lone), and…
No need to preach the meaning of a salute anyone who has been in the military. Civilians on the other hand need to understand that it's more than a simple show of respect.
Thanks Gene, hope you have a blessed day as well.
The first one sure hits the nail on the head. I hope that you have a blessed day Robert.
Good R.E.D. Friday morning Colonel. This one turned out to be a difficult challenge.
