My name is Ashley McLean. I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. I currently live in Butte Montana for the past 14 years. I never thought that I would fall in love with Butte Montana but I have. I believe the reason is because this is the place that I found myself and started loving the woman, mother and wife that I am today. I have experienced Substance Use disorder and Mental Health issues. I am now a woman in Long term recovery from my substance use disorder. I have not put a substance in my body since 5-14-2011. And with that I found that what I was doing in seeking substances was actually self-medicating a mental health diagnosis. So on this journey of recovery I have found that I can recover my humanity and sanity in all things. I have a passion to help those who are just starting their recovery journey, because of the people who mentored and guided me in my early journey. I want all people no matter what the circumstance to know that we cannot do this thing called life alone. And if you don’t have one person who understands or gets it, let me be that person for you. Unconditionally.
