In late November we launched into this Veteran IT Apprenticeship with USVeteranJobs.com and we are so happy to report that we have over 80 Veterans in the program… and soon we’ll have 100…
BUT
as good as that is, we have nearly a dozen WAITING in the wings to sign up and get started.
I wanted to share a few of the Hardship Applications I have received with you. Each Vet takes $500 to fund them into the program… Also, if you recall, this gets paid back when they land on their feet in that great IT job! How awesome is that… and then that Vet funds the next, so on and so forth!

I am a single veteran, with some IT experience and education. I’ve attended Augusta Technical College. I am 3 classes from receiving a A.A. as a Network Specialist. But I’ve fallen hard times, my mother recently had a stroke and aneurysm and I am taking care of her. It’s been really hard. If I can get some assistance with education and training, I could find a job and take care of my mother. There are IT jobs here where I live, that I can get, but without the degree I am completely lost. It bothers me that I can barely help her. Without a degree…..I just do not know. Need help.
No job, mother receives SSI and I am receiving food stamps.

I’ve tried everything not to go this route. I’ve ask for every assistance I know about. I recently had a life changer with getting custody of my daughter. My soon to be ex wife apparently was neglecting her and she want to stay with me which bring me to the next reason. Well I moved from Memphis tn back in August of last year, because I lost my job, and was trying to find work and stability. Well when I was just about to get my job and home, my daughter called me in distress so without a thought in my mind, I drove from Atlanta Georgia to stay with my sister to try to find a new job and home! I’ve been very sick off and on, but still trying to find a job that will respect my single father status, but it’s been very hard and I truly have no help otherwise! I’ve exhausted all my funds, to include savings! I’m in debit due to my ex wife neglecgance to my credit card account and other funds! I’m in need of serious help because I don’t know what else to do! Please can you assist me in any way?!? I get one check monthly and most of the time all of it goes into bills and back bills! I’m drowning and I don’t have any other options or avenues to take. My ex wife destroy my family and I relationship so as of today I haven’t spoken to a single family member in over 3-4 months so the question of could or would they help me? I have a strong doubt they would thanks to my ex wife. If you guys can’t assist me, I just want to thank you guys for even listening to my story! Have a bless day!

I’ve been working in IT for years. I’ve never needed certs, but now that I’m unemployed (6months), I’m having issues finding a position. My VA paperwork was lost, and I have to go through the whole process again.

After leaving the military, everything I have tried has fallen through. I started my own business and as of December, that tanked. I lost my last client after I was involved in a car accident right before Christmas. I have applied to multiple jobs but to no avail. I am supporting my children, I am a single mother, off of my disability, (70%). Yesterday, before I found this website, I donated plasma for money for food and contemplated applying at Walmart and my local fast food. I am 37, I want more for my life, and my kids life, than that. I am willing to put in the work, I just need that step to help me.

I am a disabled veteran and currently unemployed. I have been having issues with finding work and failed college. I am on the brink of going homeless if I can figure out a good path. My disability is gone due to debt.
