Today’s Message is: “Survivor Day!” Why Not?
“Great leaders will sacrifice to make sure that Team Members survive any crisis they may face. They do this by providing credible and reliable information through the proper communication channels to keep the team informed on measures to overcome the crisis. They are present, visible, and available – they lead through the crisis. They find ways to engage and motivate the team during and after the crisis and meet their needs. When the dust settles, the leader and their team will emerge stronger and more resilient!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Col, It seems that is all I get accomplished each day, apologizing for something, I got in the way of some good work, I opened my mouth and someone was hurt, I can't fix what's really broken, etc. I often when I open my eyes and roll out of bed believe that I should stop right there and apologize for what I'm going to do. I believe , that tomorrow is promised to no man, but I seem to have an expertise in accomplishing the opposite of what I start out to accomplish.
Good morning Col Burroughs and all of my brothers and sisters here on VFV. I acknowledge that I am a survivor. I did not accomplish that on my own, for in my darkest desperate hour, I pleaded with God to carry me thru, because I could not bear the burden alone. He was and still is there to do it it’s is. It happens often in the military but Lao in many other unlikely situations that we do not think of. I have provided a link below that addresses this issue. Have…
Aircrews often used to say that they survived the SAC way, but it reality it made everyone of us better. I live with a survivor and her determination is also something that makes me better.
Good R.E.D. Friday Colonel.
