The “Colonel’s” VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day and Week!
Let’s “Remember Everyone Deployed” today and every day until they return home safely once again!
Good “R.E.D Friday!” Morning “Band of Brothers & Sisters,” and all great connections. Welcome to the end of the week and a new month from the “Colonel’s Foxhole” in The Woodlands, TX — 1 July 2022!
Today’s Message is: “Slack Day!” Why Not?
“As a leader you need to take a breather and cut yourself some slack as well as the team. As uncomfortable as it may feel this is a leadership strength. Personal issues can sap the energy of any leader and they need to know when to give themselves some slack to recharge their batteries. Stress can be the enemy and can cut into a leader’s effectiveness. Leaders need to be truthful with themselves, they need to be present, and willing to make some self-care changes. Under your current limitations and cut yourself some slack when needed!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
