That question is music to my ears - sometimes, but at other times, I hate that question with a purple-passion. Say what? Yes, there are times when I legitimately want and need help, but there are times when I need some help, but I am loath to admit it. Maybe you are that way...

Could it be a throwback to when we were kids just starting to assert our independence, or is it deeper than that? Perhaps there is still some of that “I can do it mommy”, or “I can do it daddy” left in us, just a “grown-up” version. We have learned to stand on our own feet, even when we are ears-deep in quicksand. We have been indoctrinated into the American spirit of independence and rugged-individualism? Are we too “grown-up” for our own good? Are we afraid that if we ask for help that we will be seen as “less-than...”?

Join us as we look at the story of a man who knew exactly what he needed, and he wasn't afraid to ask for it, because he had nothing to lose, and potentially, everything to gain. Would we be that bold?
