Join Mike & Friends TONIGHT for "Fire, Family & Service!" with Warriors for Life (WFL) - Invite a Friend!

Join our Volunteer, Army Combat Medic Veteran, & Music Writer/Producer Mike Williams and special guest Professor Dr. Arthur Williams TONIGHT for "Mike Check" edition of Warriors for Life (WFL) Online, sponsored and presented by Victory for Veterans, Inc. (VFV).

We are asking everyone to share who we are and the support that Victory for Veterans, Inc. (VFV) is providing through the Warriors for Life (WFL) online network. If you know someone who is a veteran, first responder or a family member/caregiver, please ask them to join us for at least one meeting so they can learn more about what we do and how they can share their wisdom with others who may be able to learn from them.

"Fire, Family & Service!"

A gentle Warriors for Life interview celebrating a father’s lifetime of scientific achievement, teaching, family legacy, and public service — while building a compassionate bridge between military experience and the world of academia.

“The language may be different — equations, missions, classrooms, triage — but the heart of it is the same: understand what is happening, protect life, and leave something useful behind.”

This Friday on Warriors for Life, we will do something tender, thoughtful, and deeply personal. I will be interviewing and celebrating my Dad, Professor Dr. Forman Arthur Williams — a pioneer in combustion and aerospace engineering, a teacher, researcher, father, and lifelong contributor to science.

For our Veteran community, this conversation is not about comparing service. It is about connection. Many of us know the world through missions, consequences, teamwork, loss, discipline, and lived experience.

My Dad knows the world through equations, combustion, space research, teaching, and decades of careful scientific inquiry. Somewhere between those worlds is a powerful conversation about communication, duty, family, humility, and what it means to serve something larger than yourself.

Bring curiosity. Bring respect. Bring a question. Bring a family story. We will honor achievement without turning it cold, and we will hold the conversation with the compassion Warriors for Life is known for.

“I served as a combat medic and Special Operations Soldier, but tonight it is about honoring my Dad’s world while helping us see the bridge between his life’s work and ours.” - Mike

Before the equations, there was curiosity.

Legacy is not only what we publish. It is what we pass on.

Opening Ground Rules

·       Honor the guest and the family. This is a celebration, not an interrogation.

·       Ask questions in plain language. Smart questions do not need big words.

·       Stay out of politics and personal attacks. Keep the room focused on service, science, family, and healing connection.

·       Share from lived experience, not comparison. Nobody has to prove they belong in the conversation.

·       Keep the pace gentle. Make room for silence, reflection, and laughter.

Peer-Support Safety Note

Warriors for Life is peer support, not clinical care. Sharing is always optional, and silence is participation. If you are in immediate danger or feel you may harm yourself, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
