Join our Volunteer, Air Force Veteran, Peer Support Specialist/AdultTrainer, and Writer/Author Steven Bates TONIGHT for "Mid-Week Musings!" edition of Warriors for Life (WFL) Online, sponsored and presented by Victory for Veterans, Inc. (VFV).
We are asking everyone to share who we are and the support that Victory for Veterans, Inc. (VFV) is providing through Warriors for Life (WFL). If you know someone who is a veteran, first responder or a family member/caregiver, please ask them to join us for at least one meeting so they can learn more about what we do and how they can share their wisdom with others who may be able to learn from them.

"Do Your Worst (& still come out on top!)"
Join Air Force veteran, author, and Peer Support Specialist Steven Bates with the Warriors for Life Mid-Week Musing s Peer Support Group as we discuss how even when the worst happens, we can still come out on top!
"Often, we challenge someone to 'do their worst'. In one case, Director Ed Wood did just that. In 1959, he released what has been known in the annals of filmmaking as 'the worst movie ever made'. That movie, 'Plan 9 from Outer Space', was so terrible, even with a big-name star, Bela Lugosi in it, that it has become synonymous with the best example of the worst film ever, but in doing so, it has become a cult classic. Shown at conventions worldwide, enjoyed as an epitome of entertainment so enchanting it actually brings joy to those watching it!. So how can we take the example of 'Plan 9 from Outer Space' and apply it to our own lives as veterans?

We've experienced the worst life has thrown at us; now it's our time to shine. Use the worst as a platform, an example, a lesson, a learning experience. Now we come out on top. Now we win the Oscar for best performance in a tragic situation. But how?"

Our Vision at Victory for Veterans, Inc. (VFV) is simple: "Where Hope, Support, and Healing come together!"

We encourage you to join us, Everyone is Welcome, Everyone Matters, You Matter to Us, so Talk to Us! — invite a friend!
