Good morning Col Burroughs and all of my brothers and sisters here on VFV. The past few years have really tested my resilience. With each obstacle I had to overcome, was because I reached out to God and He carried me thru. Have a blessed day today and always.

I found myself listening to a fascinating discussion on 'resilience' the other day. It was based on the underlying assumption that people today, especially the younger age group, find it much harder to handle the pressures of life when compared to those of an earlier generation.

High school & college sports taught me a bit about resilience. But, the simple fact is that being in the military gave me PhD in it and that's something that the civilian world doesn't quite understand.
