Join our Volunteer, Army Veteran & Peer Support Specialist/Supervisor Derrick Iozzio TONIGHT for "Forever Forward!" edition of Warriors for Life (WFL) Online, sponsored and presented by Victory for Veterans, Inc. (VFV).
We are asking everyone to share who we are and what support that Victory for Veterans, Inc. (VFV) is providing via WFL. If you know someone who is a veteran, first responder or a family member/caregiver, please ask them to join us for at least one meeting so they can learn more about what we do and how they can share their wisdom with others who may be able to learn from them.

TONIGHT's Topic: "What Are Your Thoughts?"

Join Derrick and Friends TONIGHT as we talk about "What Are Your Thoughts?" A discussion about being thoughtful and its impact on mental health.

Mental health is a fundamental aspect of overall well-being, encompassing your thoughts, emotions, and ability to cope with life's challenges. It is not merely the absence of mental illness but a state of thriving, allowing you to reach your full potential and contribute to your community. Prioritizing your mental health is as crucial as physical health, and when you struggle, seeking help from a mental health professional is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Being thoughtful, particularly through acts of kindness, significantly benefits mental health by releasing "helper's high" hormones like dopamine and serotonin, reducing stress and anxiety, and boosting self-esteem and happiness. This positive outlook, combined with a greater sense of connection and belonging, helps to build resilience, improve coping skills, and foster a more positive perspective on life. The effects can extend to physical health, including improved heart health and potentially a longer lifespan.
Challenging a Negative Thought!
