Join our Volunteer, Army Veteran & Peer Support Specialist/Supervisor Derrick Iozzio and special guest Lauren Iozzio TONIGHT for "Forever Forward!" edition of Warriors for Life (WFL) Online, sponsored and presented by Victory for Veterans, Inc. (VFV).
We are asking everyone to share who we are and what support that Victory for Veterans, Inc. (VFV) is providing via WFL. If you know someone who is a veteran, first responder or a family member/caregiver, please ask them to join us for at least one meeting so they can learn more about what we do and how they can share their wisdom with others who may be able to learn from them.

TONIGHT's Topic: "A Daughter's Perspective!"

Join Derrick, Friends, and Special Guest Lauren Iozzio TONIGHT as we talk about "A Daughter's Perspective!" A discussion about being the daugther of a veteran and former first responder.
Lauren Iozzio Bio

Lauren Iozzio is a proud military dependent whose life and career are grounded in service, education, and empowerment. With a B.A. in Anthropology and Sociology from Texas A&M University and an M.S. in Social Justice and Criminology from Delta State University, Lauren is passionate about understanding how trauma, culture, and systemic barriers shape individual and collective experiences.
Her career has spanned diverse roles in education, mentorship, and leadership development. She began by working with Indigenous youth as a K–8 teacher on the Pine Ridge Reservation, where she emphasized culturally responsive education and community engagement. As a current university instructor at Delta State University, she guides undergraduate students through complex discussions on inequality, justice, and social issues with both academic rigor and empathy. In her current role as a Coaching Consultant with ThinkVirtues, Lauren partners with veterans nationwide to help them rediscover their sense of purpose, build resilience, and navigate life’s transitions with confidence and clarity. She also serves as the Financial Officer for The People’s Patriot Project, advancing mental and emotional wellness programs for veterans and their families.
Lauren’s work is rooted in lifelong learning, equity, and honoring the legacy of service. For her, supporting those who have served is more than a mission—it’s a heartfelt commitment driven by gratitude, a deep sense of purpose, and a desire to honor the legacy of those who have sacrificed so much.

Being the daughter of a veteran and former first responder can present a unique set of challenges and triumphs. This experience is likely shaped by the demands and realities inherent in both professions and the impact of these on the family unit.
